investment company
Camar is a family-owned investment company, established in Stavanger,
Norway in 1994.
The Company has an industry agnostic investment mandate with a financial focus in its approach to new opportunities.
Our resources are primarily dedicated to long term investments where we can take a roll as an active owner. We prefer to work with other shareholders and key personnel to impact the strategic development of companies we work with.
An active realestate player
Camar Eiendom AS was established in 2010 by John Arild and Ole Ertvaag through their investment companies Camar AS and Eføy Investering AS.
The company is a financially solid and full-cycle realestate business that invests in, owns, operates and develops realeaste.
Our properties are primarily in the Stavanger region, where the Hinna Park area as well as the city centre are well represented locations where we own several high profile assets.
An active owner
Camar Invest represents our direct investing activities, our core business since Camar was
established in 1994.
Camar invests in companies where we as an investor can play an active role and contribute to
companies’ future development in close cooperation with management and other owners.
In addition to providing partial buyout or growth capital, Camar can be relied upon to act as an
active and professional owner and board member, with particular competence in

We also work with management and other owners on any larger financial and operational
opportunities and challenges as they arise.
Camar is an opportunistic investor. We invest across most industries and can be flexible with
regards to structure. Through our history, our best experiences have been in partnerships, where
we invest together with other owners which may represent varying competencies from our own –
playing to each other’s strengths in the continued development and growth of companies. Our
competencies are primarily financial, and as such partnering with more industrially focused
owners is often preferred.

Camar Finans manages our non-strategic investments in listed and unlisted securities as well as
representing our treasury function. Our investments in Finans are done through a variety of
holding structures and across the risk spectrum so long as we see an opportunity for satisfactory
risk adjusted returns.
Camar Finans operates with a high degree of autonomy and can invest across all risk and asset
classes. The primary focus is however on listed and unlisted securities such as equities and
bonds, but we also invest in appropriate funds and certificates in the Scandic countries.
